This is the museum to show the history and the culture of Gifu City. It is located in Gifu Park.
Displays about the history of Gifu from ancient to modern times are shown in the General Exhibition Room.
The “Sengoku Wonderland” exhibit focuses on the Sengoku period, when “daimyo” warlords such as SAITO Dosan and ODA Nobunaga were at the peak of their powers.
“Tenka Chokan Emaki” tells the story of Nobunaga's life, and “3-D Rakuichi Emaki” is a partial full-size restoration of the “Raku-ichi” market as it appeared in Nobunaga's time.
Experience history firsthand through these sensory and experience-based exhibitions!
Special exhibitions of other various cultural assets are also held several times a year.
